Interwoven with the architecture

unit-design secured second place in the invitation-only competition to design the signage for the new headquarters of Erste Bank in Vienna, which received submissions from around the world. The plans drawn up by Vienna-based architects Henke Schreieck envisaged a transparent, inviting campus-based design, open to the urban environment and with close links to nature. The proposal by unit-design addressed the diverse requirements of easy accessibility and both open and secluded working environments with the notion of materially interweaving the means of orientation with the architecture, either clearly or subtly visible, depending on the requirements.
