Im Dialog mit der Architektur.

The Frankfurt trade fair tower designed by Helmut Jahn has undergone a high-quality revitalisation. The architects at Helmut Jahn and Mattheo Thun designed the new entrance portal as well as the semi-public areas with access to Messe Frankfurt and the underground station. The public lobby now features a café, while another restaurant is located in the basement.

unit-design reworked the new branding of the ‘Messeturm’ for spatial and permanent use and developed a signage system that blends seamlessly into the interior design. A specially designed pictogram system and carefully selected special colours, which are perfectly matched to the materials used, underline the high standards associated with the landmark of the city of Frankfurt. These design elements not only provide orientation, but also contribute significantly to the aesthetics and overall experience of the building.

In addition, branding measures for the various tenants in the building were also planned and successfully implemented as part of this renovation. This enables a uniform yet individual presentation of the different areas and companies within the building, strengthening the identity of the exhibition tower and at the same time meeting the needs of the tenants.

The symbiosis between the architecture, branding and functionality of the signage system creates an inspiring, productive environment for visitors and users of the exhibition tower. This overall solution not only contributes to the improved accessibility of the building, but also to the promotion of a positive image that emphasises the importance of and pride in this architectural masterpiece of Frankfurt.
