On the dot

The communication design developed for the renovation of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg combines the self-image of the EIB with the architecture by Ingenhoven Architects. The main idea of the design: a pattern of dots projected thematically throughout the entire building. Tiered dot sizes allow noticeably consistent positioning and hierarchical arrangement of the various aspects.

The dot became a common denominator for a sign and graphic design theme that gives the building a friendly and dynamic air. Bright colors and extensive use of a pictogram system follow the concept of the "talking building" and thereby emphasize the architecture.

The striking identification system works on a variety of surfaces.
