The ‘Frankfurt signposts’ represent the new bilingual orientation system in Frankfurt am Main. The signposts ensure that locals and tourists are made more aware of the city’s sights and, more importantly, make them easier to find. All the museums, theatres and other cultural or historical destinations the city has to offer and the quickest route to them can be seen at a glance. The idea behind the ‘Frankfurt signposts’ is to provide information that motivates interested individuals to discover city.

Split into 5 categories, the 81 highlights of Frankfurt are easy to survey. Located at the centre of the layout is the ‘where you are’ with a radius of 500 meters to sights waiting to be discovered. The fin arranged in a star-shape points directly to the street that leads to the target object. A brief text with image provides an overview and helps the visitor recognised his destination. The system considers the requirements for the public domain and features a graffiti-proof surface.
