The development of the building signage system for the new headquarters of Accenture Technology Consultants involved a unique, trend-setting point of departure, the dimensions of which the world had never seen before. The building complex managed as the Kronberg Campus can be compared to a hotel. A globally accessible booking system enables employees to reserve workplaces in the ‘Open Workspaces’ and make use of a host of services on site. The signage system therefore had to perform several functions. That’s why it was important to lend Accenture recognition and identity within the leased building and also to integrate the broad range of services into the specially developed graphic language. Besides visualising the building system, it was important to create direct and intuitive orientation.

The functionality of the room and workplace signs respond to the need for flexibility and facility management on Krongberg Campus. The place signs have holders for calling cards and the barcodes allow allocation to the booking software. This means that a special device requested or services called-off for a place can be organised and charged directly. The concept of attaching additional information is also found with conference room signs, where elegant stainless steel brackets allow occupancy information to be exhibited.
