unit-design created the exhibits in the touring exhibition “100 Jahre Mercedes-Benz: Enduring Passion” for the 2001 Detroit Motorshow. The modular exhibits and graphic surfaces have subsequently been used at numerous exhibitions and for special occasions. In the style of a gallery, visitors move between room-height graphic columns that explore the importance of people to the Mercedes Benz organisation. The over-dimensioned portraits of the great figures in the brand’s history are in dialogue with the illustrations of today’s personnel and their outstanding service for the brand. In fine columns, the milestones are tangibly staged as original exhibits.
On behalf of Atelier Markgraph
In a perfectly matched showcase, finely worked columns accommodate original pieces from the creation of legendary designs, from racing successes and technical highlights such as the fuel cell. A large-scale graphic executed as a cut embedded in the architecture created the background for the 9 pairs of exhibits that set the stage for the “Mercedes Mythos”.
